THE PHYSICS NOBEL PRIZE

The NOBEL PRIZE is the most prestigious prize of the world. I keep on posting about the facts on the PHYSICS NOBEL PRIZE here.

2. The FIRST Physics Nobel prize was awarded to Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen in 1901 in recognition of the extraordinary services he rendered by the discovery of the remarkable rays subsequently named after him i.e, the Roentgen Rays or the X-rays.

3. The Physics Nobel Prizes of the following years were not awarded - 1916 (The prize money was allocated to the Special Fund of this prize section), 1931 ( The prize money was allocated to the Special Fund of this prize section), 1934 (The prize money was with 1/3 allocated to the Main Fund and with 2/3 to the Special Fund of this prize section), 1940 (The prize money was with 1/3 allocated to the Main Fund and with 2/3 to the Special Fund of this prize section), 1941 (The prize money was with 1/3 allocated to the Main Fund and with 2/3 to the Special Fund of this prize section) and 1942 (The prize money was with 1/3 allocated to the Main Fund and with 2/3 to the Special Fund of this prize section).
